Text: Jeremiah 3:15
Have you ever asked yourself why God didn’t just save us and leave us to figure life out on our own? Why bother with the local church or pastors? Why not just you, your Bible, and your personal walk? Because that’s not how God designed growth. His plan for your life includes a shepherd’s voice.
God doesn’t just assign people to churches, He gives pastors to people. Pastors are gifts from God’s heart, placed in our lives to feed us with knowledge and understanding. They’re not just eloquent preachers; they’re carriers of divine instruction. Most New Testament letters weren’t written to individuals; they were addressed to churches or church leaders (elders). That tells you something: God speaks to people, but He shepherds them through structure.
Many believers are spiritually armored but alone, disconnected from the covering God designed to protect and nurture them. That’s not wisdom; it’s vulnerability. Don’t let offense, pride, or independence rob you of divine placement. If you're truly planted where God has assigned, honour that covering. If you're not, then ask Him to lead you to the pastor He's raised for you. Your growth, protection, and direction are tied to the voice you're under. God didn’t just call you to Himself. He called you to a people, to a family and He placed a shepherd over that family. God wants you pastored.
